IT IS MANDATORY THAT EVERYONE COMPLETE THE CENSUS -- IT DETERMINES THE DISTRIBUTION OF FEDERAL FUNDS, GRANTS, SUPPORT OF SCHOOLS, CITIES, ROADS, EMERGENCY SERVICES -- SEE THE UTUBE VIDEO @ to see some of the impact participating in the census brings. Fitness CenterLocated next to the school, is a fitness center open to students and available to community members with a low annual membership fee.
Tara Way ParkTara Way Park is a favorite for kids of all ages. The Park includes a large open area and a picnic shelter.
Tara Way Park was established around 1994 on property donated to the city by Arlen and Clarice Zenor. This park is located east of Tara Way at the east end of Birch Street.
A shelter house is available to rent with kitchen accessories. Contact the City Clerk's office for rental information.
Presbyterian ChurchThe Community Presbyterian Church offers many services for members and the community.
Football FieldLawton's football field, track and baseball fields are home to many events year-round.
Picnic ShelterThe picnic shelter, located in Tara Way park, can be reserved for gatherings. The shelter includes a kitchen and bathrooms.
Veterans ParkVeterans' Memorial Park is located southeast of the intersection of Cedar and Maple Streets. The FAMILY group (Fathers And Mothers Interested in Lawton's Youth) has erected a gazebo in the park housing a veteran's memorial stone. This memorial was donated by the Lawton Civic Development Corporation.
