Lawton City Council Minutes

July 1, 2003

The Lawton City Council met in special session at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2003, at the Lawton City Clerk’s office. Council members present were Tony Bengford, Arlan Kolker, and Terry Masching. The meeting was called to order by mayor pro tem Arlan Kolker.

Purpose of this meeting was the consultation required by law to take place before annexation of territory between the participating entities. Floyd Township Trustees present included Ava Lewon, Noel Plummer and Don Wohlert. No one was present from the Woodbury County Board of Supervisors. Questions were fielded regarding the possible annexation of territory presently owned by Dale Peterson and others. Floyd Township and the Woodbury County Board of Supervisors will now have 30 days to respond to the city regarding this annexation.

Meeting adjourned at 5:10 pm.
