Hello Lawton,
Here is an update of the Fire Truck. The kids in the photos are my Grandchildren, Nicholas and Jacqueline Starr from Sydney, Australia. Both are now certified Fire Truck Drivers. I doubt that many Lawton, Iowa Fire Trucks have been driven by Sydney, Australia kids! Nicholas is 12 and Jacqueline is 10.
Took the truck out for a drive today for the first time since I tore it down. Drove about a mile down our road and back, everything running fine. Haven’t pumped any water as yet, but that will be coming up. Put the gasoline and water tanks in the bed Saturday, so it is coming close to being a fire fighting vehicle again.
