The photos above show Pam Clark presenting City Clerk Pat Washburn with a $1,000 check from Western Iowa Telephone Association, and Lawton Mayor Pro Tem Don Grigg accepting a $1,000 check from Heath Mallory. The check presented by Heath Mallory was from the Iowa Network Services.

The City of Lawton applied for a grant through Iowa Network Services to help replace the wooden playground equipment in the Tara Way Park. When INS awards a grant, Western Iowa Telephone Association matches that grant.

It is hoped the new playground equipment can be ordered soon, and installed the summer of 2007.
