Garbage and Recycle

Garbage is picked up every Monday unless Monday falls on a holiday. In that case, garbage will be picked up Saturday before the holiday. Garbage must be placed inside green CHN garbage cans, and cans must be placed at the curb. Bags laying beside cans will not be picked up. Holiday schedule dates will be listed in RED below.

Recycles will be picked up every other Monday unless that day falls on a holiday. In that case, recycles will be picked up Wednesday following the holiday. Recycles must be placed inside green recycle tubs. Contact City Hall if you need a recycle tub.

Break down corrugated boxes for easier handling. All plastics with numbers 1 - 7 printed on the bottom of the container inside the recycling symbol are now accepted. Tin cans (remove labels), papers, slick boxes such as cereal boxes, cake mix boxes and pop can boxes are also now accepted.

Also being accepted are all plastic shopping bags and shrink wrap!!!

GLASS WILL NO LONGER BE PICKED UP. THIS WAS ENFORCED AS OF DECEMBER, 2004.
