The LFD had 7 members and their spouses attend the 128th Annual Iowa Firemans Convention in Atlantic, IA on Sept 7-10th. The firefighters attended the event and competed in several of the firefighter drill events. LFD Chief (3rd from left in photo) competed in the "Chiefs Race" (50 yard dash in full turnout gear) and placed 2nd in the state event with a time of 7.51 sec.
Thousands of firefighters from hundreds of departments across the state attend the annual event every year.
