Awards

The Iowa Rural Water Association is pleased to announce that Pat Washburn with the City of Lawton has been named the 2010 City Clerk of the Year. Mrs. Washburn was presented with this award during the Iowa Rural Water Association’s 36th Annual Conference held at the Coralville Marriott Hotel February 14-16 in Coralville, Iowa.
This award is presented to an outstanding City Clerk who has gone above and beyond the normal requirements of their job.

Mrs. Washburn performs a wide variety of duties and has made a positive impact on her city in the 10 years she has been there. She is actively involved in a number of projects to benefit her community. In addition, upon the illness of the city’s operator, Mrs. Washburn has helped to ensure that the water and wastewater utilities continue to run smoothly in his absence.
For her dedication and commitment to her community, the Iowa Rural Water Association was proud to present Mrs. Pat Washburn with the 2010 City Clerk of the Year Award.
